From time to time, we have young adults available for placement, and we want to take a moment to share why this is an important part of our program and what goes on behind the scenes in responsible breeding. Every dog we raise is carefully evaluated to determine whether they will stay in our program long-term. Some go on to become cherished pets, while others find purpose in service or therapy work. Occasionally, a truly wonderful dog doesn’t quite meet our exceptionally high breeding standards—but that doesn’t make them any less special. Over the years, our expectations have only grown, and we are incredibly selective about the traits we choose to carry forward. Anyone can pair two Labradors, but does that breeding truly better the breed? Are they improving temperament, health, and structure? Producing the next generation of Labradors is not a task we take lightly—it’s a responsibility we hold to the highest standard. We also occasionally have retired adults looking for their forever homes. These dogs will always hold a special place in our hearts, but when their time in our program is complete, we make the thoughtful decision to place them with loving families where they can enjoy life as cherished companions. Each dog in our care receives the best possible attention—grooming, nail trims, deworming, flea and tick prevention, vaccinations, vet visits, high-quality food, and so much more. As much as I’d love to live in a 101 Dalmatians dream world, it’s simply not realistic! Ethical breeding isn’t just about producing puppies—it’s about dedication, responsibility, and always putting the well-being of our dogs and the breed first. We are incredibly proud of the Labradors we produce and the amazing families they become a part of. If you’re interested in one of our available adults, please reach out—we’d love to help you find the perfect match!
